Look at my precious Sponsor girl (woman)!
10 years ago, I met this dirty, sad, starving precious girl. She used to sit outside of the gate and wait for the leftovers to feed her and her brother. If there were any leftovers, they would let her in to eat. She would get her plate and then fill up a sippy cup to bring home for her brother and mom.
Oh, my heart!
I bawled like a baby every day when we left Korah.
I begged another organization to take her on, and after 5 months they added her to their program, and we took her on as our sponsor child.
Little did I know what God had in store.
We eventually took over that failing Sponsorship Program, and because of that, I got to watch her flourish for the last 10 years!
She graduated from Out of the Ashes this week as a chef (photo below).
If you sponsor a child through us or anyone else, trust me when I say: Sponsorship is LIFE CHANGING.
I have said it a thousand times, but I will say it again, this is why we do what we do! Just look at her!
