Sponsorship
You can help us get the word out about our need for Sponsorship. We currently have 36 students who need a sponsor, whether permanent or someone just wanting to fill in for a year. It is time we start making decisions about how we can help unsponsored children.

Fundraising
You can do a fundraiser or a church outreach for Out of the Ashes. Fundraisers can be limited only by your imagination. Get creative. You can ask for a particular offering for OA. We can help with whatever you need to facilitate a fundraiser.
It can be as simple as hosting a potluck, a scavenger hunt, a 5k, maybe even a climbing event! The church outreach is where you can share your experience, tell the OA story, and share profiles of kids who need sponsors. Prayer
You can pray for teams traveling this summer, our staff, and students in Ethiopia. Summertime is a hard time in Korah. The kids are home from boarding school, which puts a burden on families trying to feed them.
It is the rainy season, and they miss school. Our staff is overloaded with requests from students and families for help. We can’t fill them all.
In January 2018, our Medical Team served over 500 people. We served all of the OA students that needed medical attention. We also got to serve the community.
It was a fantastic week. Our short-term missions are an ongoing support system for students and the community. It is making an impact far beyond the weeks we spend in Ethiopia.
Sponsorship Program News
At this time, we have 66 students that will graduate from our program within the next three months. If you sponsor a child on this list, we will be sending out information individually. Please stay tuned for these updates.
We are also working on private school options for the students next school year. We are hoping to consolidate our schools down to around five instead of 45. There are many details to work out. As soon as we have concrete information, we will pass that along.
